We were happy to see the US Coast Guard boat in Guatemala.

This ship unloaded coal on the conveyor for 12 or 15 hours.

This is something like "son popo de mayo." When these bugs come out in May, people collect them and eat them.

People were walking along the road picking up these bugs.

Lots o' Masks. These were in a store, and cost a lot. They must be traditional or something.

Paul and Charlene. Paul is a real sailor. He used to captain (and own) a sailing freighter. Charlene kayaked the Everglades 3 years ago.

They used to mine the guano from these rocks for fertilizer and/or fuel.
