Flies, waiting to attack. There were hordes of outback flies that try for your ears, nose, and eyes. That's normal. These flies on the coast are just a big hatch and will go away soon. But as soon as I get out of the car, they swarm my head. Maybe I should shower.
This seems to be the Australian version of a pickup. Extra headlights, snorkel, and cow catcher.
