Sir Bartholomew Burghersh, 1st Lord Burghersh 
Bartholomew was born before 1306. Bartholomew's father was Robert Burghersh 1st Lord Burghersh and his mother was Maud Badlesmere. His paternal grandfather was Reynold Burghersh; his maternal grandparents were Guncelin de Badlesmere and Joan FitzBarnard. He was an only child. He died on August 3rd, 1355.General Notes
He joined the Earl of Lancaster in his rebellion. He fought in the Battle of Boroughbridge on 16 March 1321/22, where he was taken prisoner, and later restored by Isabel, the Queen Consort. He held the office of Warden of the Cinque Ports in 1327. He held the office of Constable of Dover Castle in 1327. He was created 1st Lord Burghersh [England by writ] on 25 January 1329/30. He held the office of Chief Justice in Eyre, South of Trent between 1335 and 1343. He acquired the Castle of Ewyas Lacy, Herefordshire and Stoke-upon-Tern, Shropshire with his wife. He was invested as a Knight Banneret in 1341. He held the office of Warden of the Cinque Ports in 1343. He held the office of Constable of Dover Castle in 1343. He held the office of Chamberlain of the Household. He held the office of Warden of the Cinque Ports between 1346 and 1350. He held the office of Constable of Dover Castle between 1346 and 1350. He fought in the Battle of Crécy on 25 August 1346. He held the office of Constable of the Tower of London between 25 August 1346 and 1355.
