John Freeland 
John was born on August 12th, 1828. John's father was Elisha Freeland and his mother was Wilmuth Medaris. His maternal grandparents were John (Redd) Redmond Medaris and Rachel Beezley. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Rufus, Robert, James, Jacob, Sarah, Rachel, Eliza and Lydia. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 60 on March 2nd, 1889.-
