Milton was born on January 26th, 1800.  Milton's father was Joshua Gibbs and his mother was Anne.  His paternal grandparents were Abraham Gibbs and Keziah Atwood. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Orimall, Horris, Hiram, Miron, David, Solomon, Dorothy, Susannah, Jemima, Maryon and Lavina.  He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.
