Gytha was born in Denmark.  Gytha's father was Thorgils (Sprakalegg) Styrbjornson and her mother was Sigrid of Halland.  Her paternal grandparents were Styrbjon Olavsson and Thyra Haraldsdottir.  She was an only child.  She died after 1069.
