Samuel Moore 
Samuel was born on February 14th, 1803 in East Tenn.. He died at the age of 75 on April 9th, 1878 in Cambria,Iowa.General Notes
Said to be "cousin" of Gen. Samuel Houston. Born in E. Tenn. according to 1856 Iowa census. Moved from Bount Co., Tenn. to Boone Co., Jefferson Township., Indiana about 1833; moved to Newton Co., Jasper Township, Missouri about 1839 (appears on 1840 census); moved to Vigo Co., Indiana before 1844; moved to Wayne Co. Iowa in 1854.
According to notes by Carol Larsen, "The 1978-79 Wayne County Iowa cemetery directory listed the following: Plot 8.1: Moore, Samuel: Died Apr 9, 1878, Age 75 yr, 1 m, 26 d."
