Arent Pruyn 
Arent was born on May 24th, 1688. Arent's father was Frans Janse Pruyn and his mother was Alida. His paternal grandfather was Johannes Pruyn. He was an only child.General Notes
In 1736, Arent bought the property of Cornelius Schermerhorn. It was a large tract, extending on both sides of the Eykebush Road from a "brook crossed by a bridge" down to Kinderhook Creek. The property probably included a house and blacksmith shop.
