John was born in 1423.  John's father was William Scott and his mother was Elizabeth Herbert.  His paternal grandfather was John Scott; his maternal grandparents were Vincent Herbert and Isabelle Cralle.  He was an only child.  He was buried on October 17th, 1485 in Brabourne Church, East Ashford, Kent, England.
