William H. Teter

William was born on November 3rd, 1827 in St. Clair County, Illinois. William's father was Levi Teter and his mother was Annis Walker. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Teter and Maria "Mary" Kittle. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Abraham, David, George, Solomon, Philip, John, Margaret and Phebe. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Margaret. He died at the age of 56 in September 1884.

- William H. Teter married Hannah Thompson, widow of John Ware, who apparently had three children by her first marriage.
