Laura was born on January 29th, 1906 in Byers, Texas.  Laura's father was John W. Thompson and her mother was Mary May Dice.  Her paternal grandparents were Alexander C Thompson and Rachel Whittenberg; her maternal grandparents were Franklin Henry Dice and Mary Ann Andrews.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 85 on January 26th, 1992.
