Bessie was born in 1890 in Columbia, Missouri.  Bessie's father was Clarence Eugene Williams and her mother was Louisa Jane Ring.  Her maternal grandfather was Lafayette Ring and her maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had two brothers and a sister, named Elmer, Leslie and Stella.
