Martin was born in 1928.  Martin's father was Anton (Tony) Wyskup and his mother was Mary M.  His paternal grandparents were Ignacy (Ike) Wyskup and Sophia Byke. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Frank, Marion, John, Anna and Augie.  He is the youngest of the six children.
