Katherine was born in 1304 in Ashford, Hertfordshire, England.  Katherine's father was William Grandison, 1st Lord Grandison. She had a brother named John.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 45 on November 23rd, 1349 in Bisham, Berkshire, England.
