Robert was born in 1285 in Upholand, Lancashire, England.  Robert's father was Sir Robert de Holand and his mother was Elizabeth de Samlesbury.  He was an only child.  He died  due to beheaded at the age of 43 on October 7th, 1328 in Boreham Wood, Essex, England.
