Aubrey was born in 1062 in Hedingham, Essex, England. Aubrey's father was Aubrey de Vere and his mother was Beatrice de Gand Countess of de Ghisnes. His maternal grandparents were Henry Castellan de Gand and Sebilla Manasses. He was an only child. He died at the age of 79 on May 15th, 1141.General Notes
