Adele was born about 1009. Adele's father was King Robert II ("the Pious") of France and her mother was Constance Taillerfer of Toulouse of Arles. Her paternal grandfather was King Hughe Capet of France, II; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume Taillefer III, Comte de Provence and Adelaide d'Anjou. She had three brothers named Henry, le Vieux and Robert. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died about 1063.General Notes
