Hugh ("le Grand") of Vermandois, Count of Vermandois 
Hugh, known as le Grand, was born in 1057. Le Grand's father was King Henry I of France and his mother was Anne Agnesa of Kiev. His paternal grandparents were King Robert II ("the Pious") of France and Constance Taillerfer of Toulouse of Arles; his maternal grandparents were Yaroslav (the Wise) I and Ingegarda Olafsdottir of Sweden. He had a brother named the Fair. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 45 on October 18th, 1102.General Notes
