Nicholas T. Ambrose

Nicholas was born in 1813 in Berkeley County, Virginia.¹   Nicholas' father was Daniel Ambrose and his mother was Sophia Marquart.  His paternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his paternal grandmother is Sarah. He had five brothers and a sister, named Ambrose, Ambrose, Nelson, William, Mathias and Susan.  He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Jacob, Peter, Catherine and Ambrose.  He died at the age of 51 in 1864 in Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia.  He was buried in Dutch Cemetery, Morgan County, West Virginia.^2 1
