Winifred C. Ambrose

Winifred was born about 1841 in Virginia.¹ Winifred's father was William Ambrose and her mother was Juliet Ann Lock. Her paternal grandparents were John Bell Ambrose Sr and Elizabeth "Betsy" Crum. She had two brothers and four sisters, named George, Carter, Eliza, Martha, Lucinda and Nannie. She was the third oldest of the seven children.
