Bushrod's father was George W. Aulabaugh and his mother was Mary "Polly" Ambrose. His maternal grandparents were Mathias Ambrose and Rosanna Clover. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Mathias, George, Joseph, Susan, Lucy, Elizabeth, Ann and Maria.General Notes
He does not appear on the 1850 census, so he may have died as a child.
