Gideon Herndon

Gideon was born on August 11th, 1811 in Green County, Kentucky. Gideon's father was Thomas Herndon and his mother was Nancy Keen. His paternal grandparents were William Herndon and Mary Bohannon. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Carey, Milton, Archer, Sophronia, Susanna, Eva, Elizabeth, Mary and Frances. He was the oldest of the ten children.
