Ella was born about 1855. Ella's father was Dr Salathiel Medaris and her mother was Acenith Ella Dyer. Her paternal grandparents were James Davis Medaris and Levisa King. She had two brothers named John and Nathan. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named J, James, Mary and Nancy.General Notes
Her mother died shortly after her birth and she was raised by her maternal grandparents.
