Edward (the Black Prince) Plantagenet Prince of Wales 
Edward, known as the Black Prince, was born in 1330. The Black Prince's father was King Edward Plantagenet III of England and his mother was Phillipa de Hainault. His paternal grandparents were King Edward II of England and Isabella Princess of France. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Lionel, John, Edmund, Thomas, Isabella, Mary and Margaret. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 46 in 1376.-
