Reynold was born on November 1st, 1311 in Wilton, Herefordshire, England. Reynold's father was Henry de Grey, 3rd Lord Grey of Wilton and his mother was Anne de Roceley. His paternal grandparents were John de Grey, 2nd Lord Grey of Wilton and Anne de Ferrers. He was an only child.
