William de Montacute, 2nd Earl of Salisbury (Montagu) 
William was born on June 20th, 1329 in Donyatt, Somerset, England. William's father was William de Montagu, 1st Earl of Salisbury and his mother was Katherine de Grandison. His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandfather was William Grandison, 1st Lord Grandison. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Sibyl. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 67 on June 3rd, 1397.General Notes
In addition to Elizabeth de Mohun, he married Joan of Kent, Countess of Kent, daughter of Edmund of Woodstock, 1st Earl of Kent and Margaret Wake, Baroness Wake of Liddell, in 1340 or 1341.
This marriage was annulled on 13 November 1349 . The marriage was annuled by the Pope becuase her marriage to William de Montacute was bigamous, and she was ordered to return to her first husband, Thomas de Holand.
