A serious road cut
This is a fake nuclear plant.
It was built in 1963, and is coal powered. It just uses the nuclear style cooling towers.
I know it's not a nuclear plant because they didn't shoot at me when I flew by. (It's the Big Sandy power plant.)
The common way to mine coal in WV now is to remove mountain tops, take out the coal, and then replace them.
This one is being reclaimed.
One with grass, but no trees yet.
Look at all the cars at that huge building.
What could it be?
Walmart on a Saturday afternoon.
They must have done this one before the reclamation rules took effect.
I think this is where they wash and separate the coal before shipping it.
This is just up the mountain from the plant.
It was cold here!
