Agilulf was born about 0537.  Agilulf's father was Ferreolus, Senator of Narbonne and his mother was Saint Dode, Abbess of Saint Pierre de Reims.  His paternal grandfather was Tonantius Ferreolus; his maternal grandfather was King Chloderic (the Parricide) of Franks. He had a brother named Ansbertus.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died in 0601.
