George Ambrose 
George was born about 1803 in Berkeley County, Virginia. George's father was Rev. William Hanby Ambrose and his mother was Susanna B. Crum. His paternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his paternal grandmother is Sarah; his maternal grandparents were Christiana Schmidt and Rev. Christian Crum Sr. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, William, Christian, Mathias, Lewis, Elizabeth, Christena, Susan and Catherine. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died on January 29th, 1880 in Highland County, Ohio. He was buried in Hillsboro Cemetery, Highland County, Ohio.1 2 -
