Rebecca was born about 1718.  Rebecca's father was Heinrich Frey and her mother was Anna Catherine Levering.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Frey and Anna Hirtzeller; her maternal grandparents were Wingard Levering and Magdalena Bokers. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, William, Henry, Abraham, Benjamin, John, George, Elizabeth and Amelia.  She was the second youngest of the ten children.
