Lucy Garnett Herndon

Lucy was born on May 8th, 1781 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Lucy's father was Edward Herndon and her mother was Lucy Duerson. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Herndon and Elizabeth Stubblefield; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Duerson and Hannah Brock. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William, Joseph, Sarah and Philadelphia. She was the youngest of the six children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John, Edward, Mary and Hannah. She died at the age of 56 on January 5th, 1838 in Orange County, Virginia.
