John was born on October 14th, 1571 in Rattlesden, Suffolk, England.  John's father was Richard Munson and his mother was Margery Barnes.  His maternal grandparents were George Barnes and Margery. He had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Ann.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 79 on November 26th, 1650 in Rattlesden, Suffolk, England.
