Sampson Tillery

Sampson was born on June 17th, 1791 in Richmond or Knox County, Tennessee. Sampson's father was John Price Tillery Jr and his mother was Lettice Matthews. His paternal grandparents were John Tillery and Margaret Davenport; his maternal grandparents were Archer Matthews and Letitia McClenechan. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Richard, William, Thomas, Elizabeth, Margaret, Lettice and Eleanor.
