William was born on April 29th, 1818 in Highland County, Ohio.  William's father was Thomas Fendel Webster and his mother was Elizabeth Pulse.  His maternal grandparents were David Pulse and Sarah Fry. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John, George, Thomas, John, Lewis, Elijah, Sarah, Elizabeth, Julianna, Lydia and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 68 on January 27th, 1887 in Highland County, Ohio.  He was buried in Stroup Cemetery, Lynchburg, Ohio.

William's family

William and Rebecca were married in a religious ceremony on September 26th, 1839.  They had four sons and six daughters, named Thomas, Abner, William, James, Sarah, Eliza, Elizabeth, Lydia, Rebecca and Matilda.
