Margaret was born before 1257.  Margaret's father was Sir William de Fiennes and her mother was Blanche Brienne.  Her paternal grandparents were Sir Enguerrand de Fiennes Baron of Tingry and Ruminghen, Lord of Wendover and Maud Hampden.  She was an only child.
