John was born on March 10th, 1807 in Twin twp, Ross County, Ohio. John's father was Henry Clover and his mother was Catherine Ambrose. His paternal grandparents were Philip A Clover and Elizabeth; his maternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his maternal grandmother is Sarah. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Peter, Joshua, Jacob, Solomon, Henry, Samuel, Philip, William, Aaron, Margaret and Rosanna. He was the third youngest of the twelve children.General Notes
A John CLOVER married Elizabeth Burnet HUBBARD in Trumbull County, Ohio on 23 Dec 1831. However, there is no proof this John was the son of Henry.
