Peter Clover 
Peter was born on May 15th, 1787 in Berkeley County, Virginia. Peter's father was Henry Clover and his mother was Catherine Ambrose. His paternal grandparents were Philip A Clover and Elizabeth; his maternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his maternal grandmother is Sarah. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Joshua, Jacob, Solomon, Henry, Samuel, Philip, John, William, Aaron, Margaret and Rosanna. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 54 on April 8th, 1842 in Franklin County, Ohio. He was buried in Clover Cemetery, Darby Creek Road, Alton, Franklin County, Ohio.General Notes
Peter taught school as early as 1817/1818 in a little log cabin built and located in the "Clover Settlement" along with farming his land. Peter became the guardian of the deceased Daniel Teter's two children: Daniel Jr. and Margaret (Polly) in 1818. Was elected Justice of the Peace for Franklin County in 1820, 1823, and 1829.
