James Freeland

James was born on January 31st, 1843. James' father was Elisha Freeland and his mother was Wilmuth Medaris. His maternal grandparents were John (Redd) Redmond Medaris and Rachel Beezley. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Rufus, Robert, Jacob, Sarah, Rachel, Eliza and Lydia. He was the third youngest of the nine children.
