Erskine Lyles Langston 
Erskine was born in 1849. Erskine's father was Absalom Langston and his mother was Armenta (Minty) Starnes. His paternal grandparents were Rev Nathaniel (Nathan) Walton Langston and Catherine Smith; his maternal grandfather was Aaron Starnes. He was an only child. He died at the age of 90 on March 29th, 1939. He was buried in Spur Cemetery.General Notes
Obituary: Mr. Langston, who had recently celebrated his 90th birthday, died Wednesday morning at 10:30. He was a Civil War Veteran. Interment was made in Spur Cemetery Friday afternoon, following services held at the First Baptist Church. Ward Funeral Home officiated.
