Charlie Edgar Medaris 
Charlie was born on December 9th, 1901 in Brown Township, Miami County, Ohio. Charlie's father was Charles Fletcher Medaris and his mother was Gertrude M Tyson. His paternal grandparents were George Washington Medaris and Matilda Ann McDavitt. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Elwood, Lloyd, Ruth and Jen. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Percy, Rex and Fay. He died at the age of 65 on August 21st, 1967 in Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois. He was buried in Belvidere Cemetery.General Notes
About 1921 Charles enlisted in the Regular Army. On 22 Sept. 1942 he enlisted again in the Army Reserves in Chicago, Illinois.
