Elwood C Medaris 
Elwood was born in December 1897 in Ohio. Elwood's father was Charles Fletcher Medaris and his mother was Gertrude M Tyson. His paternal grandparents were George Washington Medaris and Matilda Ann McDavitt. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Lloyd, Charlie, Ruth and Jen. He was the oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Percy, Rex and Fay.-
