Effie Louise Medaris 
Effie was born on October 30th, 1885 in Owen County, Indiana. Effie's father was Stephen Cyrus Medaris and her mother was Amanda Long. Her paternal grandparents were James Davis Medaris and Levisa King; her maternal grandparents were Jonathan Long and Malinda. She had two sisters named Della and Dossie. She was the second oldest of the three children. She had three half-brothers and six half-sisters, named William, James, Stephen, Sarah, Minerva, Mary, Martha, Laura and Ada. She died at the age of 92 on March 26th, 1978.-
