Edmund was born on August 5th, 1301 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.  Edmund's father was King Edward I ("Longshanks") of England and his mother was Margeurite Princess of France.  His paternal grandparents were King Henry III of England and Eleanor of Provence. He had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Eleanor.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had five half-brothers and eleven half-sisters, named Joan, John, Henry, Alfonso, Edward, Eleanor, Katherine, Joan, Margaret, Berengaria, Mary, Isabella, Alice, Elizabeth, Beatrice and Blanche.  He died  due to Execution at the age of 28 on March 19th, 1330 in Winchester, Hampshire, England.
