Sophia Rizer

Sophia was born on May 8th, 1797 in Cumberland, Maryland.¹   Sophia's father was George W. Rizer and her mother was Margaret "Peggy" Ambrose.  Her maternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and her maternal grandmother is Sarah. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, George, William, Benjamin, Philip, Anne, Catherine, Hetty and Maria.  She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
