Bartholomeus was born about 1590 in Valkenburg, Maaestrict, Limburg, Netherlands. Bartholomeus' father was Pieter Huygensz Vrooman and his mother was Maritje Meesen. His paternal grandfather was Huygen Gerritsz Vrooman. He was an only child. He died about 1684.General Notes
Meese Vrooman was born in Holland and had three sons who settled in Beverwyck and Schenectady, New York.
