John C. Ambrose 
John was born about 1862 in Illinois.1 John's father was Jacob Henry Ambrose and his mother was Phoebe Ann Adair. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Ambrose and Elizabeth. He had four brothers and five sisters, named George, Jacob, William, Elmer, Becky, Rosina, Mary, Mattie and Laura. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.General Notes
He was murdered in either Seward or Grand Island, Nebraska.
