Laura F. Ambrose 
Laura was born about 1846 in Virginia.1 Laura's father was Christian C. Ambrose and her mother was Martha A. Cook. Her paternal grandparents were John Bell Ambrose Sr and Elizabeth "Betsy" Crum. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Charles, Mary and Alice. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died in 1910.2 General Notes
According to Dale Dalton, this family later moved to Abilene, Texas. A Laura Coffey appears on the 1880 census in Grainger County (pg 504), but she is 29 and seems too young to be this Laura.
