John Bell Ambrose Sr

John was born about 1781 in Berkeley County, Virginia.¹   John's father was William Henry Ambrose and his mother is Sarah. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Mathias, William, Peter, Henry, Philip, Frederick, Jacob, Daniel, Solomon, Peggy and Catherine.  He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.  He died about 1865 in Warren County, Virginia.
