Mary Ann Ambrose 
Mary was born about 1810 in Virginia. Mary's father was John Bell Ambrose Sr and her mother was Elizabeth "Betsy" Crum. Her paternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and her paternal grandmother is Sarah; her maternal grandparents were Christiana Schmidt and Rev. Christian Crum Sr. She had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Lewis, William, Christian, Henry, Jacob, Rachel and Catherine. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
