William Ambrose 
William was born about 1810 in Virginia.1 William's father was John Bell Ambrose Sr and his mother was Elizabeth "Betsy" Crum. His paternal grandfather was William Henry Ambrose and his paternal grandmother is Sarah; his maternal grandparents were Christiana Schmidt and Rev. Christian Crum Sr. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Lewis, Christian, Henry, Jacob, Rachel, Mary and Catherine. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died before 1870.-
